Areas of Expertise

Rachel has substantial experience in residential conveyancing including high street and high net worth properties with an in-depth knowledge of the property sector including Help to Buy, transfers of equity, re-mortgaging, leasehold, new builds and drafting residential leases.

Rachel’s specialism focuses on new build properties with a proven track record in delivering for clients on such developments as the iconic Battersea Power Station and Galliard Homes’ Harbour Central in Canary Wharf and The Stage in Shoreditch.

Having acted for both large scale and smaller developers and Registered Providers, Rachel has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of off-plan sales and assisting developers throughout the various stages of a site set up including managing deposit releases, construction payments and lender’s requirements.


Before joining Leon Kaye Solicitors, Rachel headed up the Development Sales team at the City law firm Devonshires managing a team of 8 paralegals and a junior lawyer.

Rachel dealt with site set ups of both large and smaller developments for both private developers and Registered Providers of shared ownership housing and also handled buy backs, staircasing, joint venture transactional work and asset disposals.

Prior to that, Rachel worked as a team leader for Howard Kennedy, another Legal 500 firm, managing large scale developments.

Rachel has presented an in-house seminar, hosted training events for clients on a variety of areas and written a number of articles for both lawyers and clients, including:

Rachel graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol with a Law Degree before completing her professional qualification to practice law with CILEx.
